So yesterday I won 2 tickets to the Beijing Olympics from Nedbank because I used my VISA card. Sweet, thanks Nedbank.

The thing is, I discussed it with my wife and we both feel that there are other people out there that would get a lot more out of this than we would. My thinking was that I’d give them to two talented young athletes from CIDA. These guys work so hard, and for them it would be an opportunity of a lifetime.
Nedbank won’t let me.
They say it has to be someone from my company, or else they’ll give them away to someone else.
Wow! Really?
I cannot for the life of me understand this. Nedbank should be happy about this, we’re trying to do a good thing here, give young aspiring athletes memories they will cherish for ever.
This is a prime example of red-tape over reason…!

Rich - I can’t believe they are so short sighted. This could be a prime PR opportunity for them, they could turn it into a real feel good story. Instead they’ve alienated a customer and denied to talented athletes the experience of a life time. Just doesn’t make sense.

Tha daftest thing I’ve heard all day. Good luck battling the grey-suited wankers, Rich - I can’t wait to see how this pans out.

Easy enough problem to solve - find your athletes and “employ” them.

Cool, but then again does anyone still watch athletics…

Crapholes, dude, that sucks so bad. I saw how excited you were when you thought you could give them to CIDA…cos honestly i don’t think anyone at the Link would enjoy them as much as they would

Yup.Like SAA ‘partner’ freebie tickets earned through card usage (a Nedbank card b.t.w.). All sorts of silly restrictions and conditions as well. Dunno why they all bother. This is a large omelette on the face of Nedbank. You should call Tom Boardman’s office and tell him the negative cost to them, in PR terms, of this insanity.
